Description Charcoal drawing of Moses and Pharoah's daughter by Violet Oakley. Preparatory drawing for a mural commissioned by Samuel S. Fleisher, as a memorial to his mother, for the Graphic Sketch Club at 711 Catharine Street in Philadelphia (now part of the Fleisher Art Memorial). Depicts a woman in Egyptian headdress holding a baby. Inscribed in pencil on reverse: "Model Mrs. Furst (in Florence) from Fleisher sketches (drawer)." Insignia and signature stamp in lower right.
