Description Illuminated ketubbah, 5530 Tishri, Amsterdam, Jacob Rodrigues Pereyra marries Rachel DeLeon, ca. 1770. Engraved on parchment. Central panel with hand-inked Hebrew text decorated with banner held by winged cherubim with sun and clouds at top, flanked by vine-covered columns. Bottom: birds, flowers and vegetal borders around a cartouche with text; sides: urns with bird-head handles with large floral areas with various birds and insects. Urn flanked by two smaller flower pots. Left is a partially clad woman and two unclothed children. Top right: man and woman in 18th century clothing holding hands (bride and groom). Bottom: "Portence ao K.K. de T.T. de Amsterdam Roshodes Kislef Ao 5499. D=M."
